ISO 26000 translates Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as the responsibility of an organization for the impact of its decisions and activities on society and the environment, through transparent and ethical behavior, which are consistent with Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) or sustainable development goals and community welfare;
WIKA Beton, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, is committed to providing benefits for all its stakeholders, especially for the community around the Concrete Product Factory (PPB). The presence of the Company is expected to bring positive change and increase the welfare of the surrounding community and environmental sustainability. The benefits of the community living around the PPIKA WIKA Concrete are:
1. Absorption of Local Workers
Good Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices will increase the added value of the company`s presence in the area because it can absorb labor, improve the quality of social conditions in the area. Local workers who receive it will get the same protection and get their rights as workers. If there are indigenous peoples or local communities, CSR practices will respect the existence of these local traditions and cultures.
In accordance with ISO 26000 guidelines, the core subject of community involvement and development, with the issue of technology development and access, is to consider engaging the community in partnerships with organizations, such as universities or research laboratories, to enhance scientific and technological development with partners from the community, and employ local people. 2. Providing Assistance to Communities Around the Company
WIKA Beton has organized several CSR activities aimed at improving the quality of life of the community. Through the pillars of WTON Cares, WTON Smart and WTON Sehat. Through the WTON Peduli pillar, donations of qurban animals, donations of nine-basic necessities and donations to orphanages have been carried out, donations celebrating the Republic of Indonesia anniversary in almost all WIKA Beton business units, donations for mosque renovation and road building by Karawang PPB, assistance from garbage transport vehicles and construction embankment and washing of Raos River by PPB Pasuruan, earthquake and tsunami natural disaster relief in the Sunda Strait, earthquake in Palu and earthquake in Maluku.

Through WTON Smart pillars, especially in the field of education. WIKA Beton, together with WIKA holding, carried out the program "Together with WIKA to Build Indonesia." This activity was carried out on five Big Islands spread over nine points / Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost (3T) regions by assisting educational needs in the 3T (Disadvantaged, Leading, and Outermost) area of Indonesia.
WIKA Beton entered into the Sumatra island team together with 4 WIKA work units, namely the General Civil Department, the Finance Department, the Safety Health Environment Department, and the Internal Control Unit. The activity will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2019, at two points on the island of Sumatra, namely in Pesisir Barat, Lampung, and Pasaman Barat, West Sumatra, precisely at SMPN 1 Belimbing Bangkunat and SMPN 1 Kinali.
In addition, WIKA Beton implemented a thematic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program with the theme "WIKA Concrete Together Building Indonesia: Do with the Heart, For Our Earth." This CSR activity is carried out not only because it is an obligation of the Company but also a form of the Company`s concern for the community and the environment around the work units to realize the acceleration of sustainable development. Through the WIKA Concrete Book Day program, the Company distributes books to schools around the WIKA Beton work unit, with a total number of books distributed as many as 2,200 books. There are 13 Work Units that have been appointed to carry out this program.
The activities on the WTON Pintar pillar are in accordance with ISO 26000 guidelines, namely core subject community involvement and development or community involvement and development with educational and cultural issues. Based on the SDGs, the activities in the Smart WTON pillar are in accordance with SDGs number 4 (four), namely quality education with an indicator 1.5.1 (d): "Number of natural disaster / social disaster areas receiving special service education. Special service education is education for
learners in remote or backward areas, indigenous peoples who are remote, and experience natural disasters, social disasters, and are unable to be economically viable ".
WIKA Concrete support to the community is also demonstrated through the program and activities of the Corporate Social Responsibility / CSR / Social Responsibility Strategic Environment on the pillars of Healthy WTON. Mainly, all work units carry out blood donor activities. This activity is a form of caring for others, helping others, and benefiting the health of employees as donors. Routine blood donor activities are carried out in almost all work units every 3 months.
The activities on the WTON Sehat pillar are in accordance with ISO 26000 guidelines, namely core subject community involvement and development or community involvement and health issues. Based on the SDGs, the activities in the WTON Sehat pillar are in accordance with SDGs number 3 (three), namely healthy and prosperous life with indicators 3.4.1. (b): "Prevalence of blood pressure; if not managed according to standards and controlled, it will cause various complications including stroke, heart, kidney failure and others which will increase disability, premature death, and health financing and increase the country`s economic burden. "
The commitment of WIKA Beton to show its commitment and presence in the community is also seen in the program and activities of Corporate Social Responsibility / CSR / Strategic Environmental Social Responsibility on the pillars of the WTON 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), namely: the WIKA Concrete Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle is carried out by utilizing waste material production (solid waste), utilization of used test specimens (cubes / cylinders) or others for repair or construction of infrastructure in the vicinity of the Work Unit. In addition, Bogor PPB also helped contribute 10 units of trash cans made from used drums to the Chairman of Rt 01/01 & Community Leaders Kp. Narogong Ds Kembang Kuning on September 9, 2019. This activity on the WTON 3R pillar (Reduce, Reuse; Recycle) is in accordance with ISO 26000 guidelines, namely core subject community involvement and development or community involvement and development with health issues and core subject consumer issues with sustainable consumption issues. Based on the SDGs, the activities on the WTON 3R pillar (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) are in accordance with SDGs number 12 (twelve), namely consumption and responsible production with indicator 12.5.1 (a): "Number of recycled waste dumps repeat.
