Simpang Susun Semanggi

WIKA Beton has recently finished its infrastructure project in Jakarta’s central business district, Simpang Susun Semanggi. Working closely with its parent company as the main contractor PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), WIKA Beton generated the main component of two elevated ramp roads Simpang Susun Semanggi which are going to serve vehicles travelling from Grogol to Blok M with 796 metres long and from Cawang to Thamrin with 826 metres long.

In the matter of Simpang Susun Semanggi project, starting in the middle of 2016 WIKA Beton contributed in the engineering of the precast concrete products’ design and the production of the precast products as well to the construction above the existing intersection at Semanggi. The performance of WIKA Beton in engineering and production were done in line with the vision of WIKA Beton, to be the foremost precast concrete company in Engineering, Production, and Installation (EPI) in Southeast Asia.

As the main component of Simpang Susun Semanggi construction, Box Girders were accurately designed by WIKA Beton’s highly competent engineers by applying segmental Box Girder transformed into X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis in order to adjust the surface of the elevated roads. This transformation implementing to the Box Girders required engineering mechanism with high-end technology, and was done successfully by WIKA Beton.

After designing well the main component of the Simpang Susun Semanggi project, WIKA Beton continued to produce precast concrete products in WIKA Beton’s plant in Karawang, West Java. Total number of precast Box Girder segments is 295 pieces, produced with single line precast segment production system.

Simpang Susun Semanggi is nearly completed with a little finishing. It is estimated to be launched in August 2017, ahead of the 2018 Asian Games. According to the previous Jakarta’s Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok, Simpang Susun Semanggi would be the second iconic site of Jakarta after the National Monument or Monas.
